Employee Separation and Offboarding

While we hope that our employees enjoy long and fulfilling careers with DroomDroom, we understand that circumstances may change, and employees may decide to leave the company or transition to other roles. In these cases, we strive to ensure a smooth and respectful offboarding process, which includes:

Resignation or Retirement ๐Ÿ“

Employees planning to resign or retire are encouraged to provide written notice to their manager and Human Resources as far in advance as possible, allowing for a smoother transition. We ask for a minimum notice period of two weeks, or as specified in the employee's contract.

Exit Interviews ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Departing employees may be invited to participate in an exit interview to provide feedback on their experiences at DroomDroom. This information helps us identify areas for improvement, address any concerns, and enhance our workplace culture.

Final Pay and Benefits Settlement ๐Ÿ’ฐ

We ensure that departing employees receive their final pay, including any outstanding wages, bonuses, or accrued vacation, in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. Additionally, we provide information on benefits continuation or conversion, if applicable.

Return of Company Property ๐Ÿ”‘

Employees are required to return all company property, such as laptops, mobile devices, and access cards, upon their departure. HR and IT teams will assist in the process of deactivating accounts and transferring any necessary files or information.

Knowledge Transfer and Transition ๐Ÿ”„

Departing employees are encouraged to work with their managers and teammates to facilitate a smooth knowledge transfer and handover of responsibilities. This may include creating documentation, training colleagues, or participating in meetings to ensure a seamless transition.

We believe in expressing our gratitude and appreciation to departing employees for their contributions to DroomDroom. Farewell events, such as team lunches or informal gatherings, are a great way to celebrate and acknowledge our team members' hard work and dedication.
